Key Responsibilities:
As an Accountant/Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial health of our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Financial Management:
- Handle all aspects of accounting independently up to finalization.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Year-End Financial Statements:
- Prepare year-end financial statements independently, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure all financial reports comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and analyze variances between actual results and budgeted figures.
- Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and on time.
- Audit Coordination:
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
- Implement audit recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ensure the company’s financial practices comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- System Management:
- Utilize accounting software, particularly Tally ERP, to manage financial transactions.
- Proficiently use Microsoft Office for financial reporting and analysis.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data is accurate and complete.
- Provide financial guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Work Experience:
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or Senior Accountant in Kuwait.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations, including IFRS.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Tally ERP and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements independently.
- Language Skills:
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Availability:
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
